It’s the journey not the destination? Yet my question to you is has it resonated with? Do we just hear these words and carry on doing what we’re doing throughout the day? Perhaps like sheep that say ‘baaa’ which translated in this case means ‘yeah yeah’.

It’s similar to the saying ‘health is wealth’ but only when we get that phone call that says we are ill we truly understand it’s value and meaning. So to all of you out there who are rushing to get that one last phone call in for the day, or penciling in more time with your children but the work can’t wait and the list goes on, I ask you this; Will your child ever be 4 or 8 or 15 or 20 again? Will you ever be 25 or 30 or 50 or 60 again? Many people go through life thinking I won’t be happy until I get that job, or buy that house, or have my mortgage paid off.

Although those are honorable quests in life and should be chased they are not worth sacrificing going through life with blinders on and not truly experiencing the everyday moments. They are not worth shutting yourself off from family and friends because you claim you are too busy. And yet hours are spent in front of a television set.

Don’t mismanage your most precious commodity; your time. Enjoy every moment of everyday. Value and appreciate all your family and friends that you have right now and don’t take them for granted. We all have the same destination in that one day we will no longer grace this planet. It’s what we do between the time we are born and the time we pass that makes our journeys unique.

Truly enjoy your journey and savor all the moments living a truly authentic empowered and engaged life. Dare I say a SHERO life! The following is a poem I wrote as I was well into my journey. You will find the story behind it in the book Sheep to Shero. Enjoy!

SHERO
Thought of a Princess in a Protected World
Was a joy to be with yet they could not hold
Left her tribe to find her way
Jaded and confused she ran away
On her journey she did find
Those who were evil yet most were kind
She stood strong and tall and faced them all
For they were not allowed to see her fall
There were times where she could have caved
For the road less travelled was not paved
Although her heart was torn and tattered
Finding herself was all that mattered
As she looked out at the morning dew
At the bald eagles that soared and flew
Nature spoke to her from the morning dew
Be a SHERO! Be authentic and true!

Graphically Speakinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04424118496009213107noreply@blogger.com1
